Enter PROMO's Interactive Marketing Awards 2008
There have been many interactive promotional marketing campaigns over the past year and several that were recently associated with Super Bowl XLII which we've been covering here on Donna's Promo Talk. We're almost a full year old now and this blog has showcased many of these great promotions.
This past year we've covered online sweepstakes promotions as well as many, many of the consumer-generated content contests that have launched. Viral marketing campaigns such as the OfficeMax Elves have been extremely popular. Plus, there have also been many fun and interactive promotional micro-sites created that have included games to play, chances to win as well as tools to unleash creativity.
So now's the chance for all those teams that developed these great promotions to be recognized and rewarded. Entries are now be accepted for PROMO's 3rd Annual Interactive Marketing Awards. These awards honor the best and brightest in effective interactive marketing—and recognizes the valuable role that interactive tactics play in motivating consumer response and creating strong, exciting brands.
There are 8 different categories this year:

Entries are being accepted online at PROMO's Website up till February 15th.
I was able to attend last year's Interactive Promotion Summit and covered the event on my blog which you can read here, here and here. Last year they honored SONY Pictures the Best Campaign Award today
for their Da Vinci Code Quest which you can read my review here. If you recall, Sony Pictures partnered with Google last year for the theatrical release of The DaVinci Code. Google created over 12,000 separate puzzles and players used Google Maps and search functions to find clues. Over
1 million unique users signed up to crack the code, well exceeding
Sony's goal of 100,000, and they played 9 million puzzles.
You can view all of last year's winners here and if you'd like more information on this year's Interactive Promotion Summit click here.
So, who will be honored this year? Now, you can't receive the recognition if you don't enter. Good luck to all and I hope to see you in Vegas this year.
