Creating and implementing exciting promotional marketing communications solutions that achieve measurable results has been and continues to be my primary passion. With over 25 years of experience in this business, I work with various clients to help bring their promotional programs to life by guiding them and delivering precisely the services that they need. I pride myself on providing outstanding service, exceptional quality as well as innovative and cost-effective vehicles.
I currently operate my own marketing communications business, DDC Marketing Group which provides services to brands, organizations and agencies. These services include the administration and development of interactive promotions such as sweepstakes, games and contests. Some recent promotions I have been involved with have been for Continental Airlines, Wendy’s, Heineken, Arena Football League, Office Furniture USA and Newton Learning.
Prior to launching DDC Marketing I was President of a top PROMO 100 promotional marketing agency, in which I lead the operations for over 10 years.
During this time I worked with companies such as Eastman Kodak Company, Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, World Kitchen, Levi’s and Reebok. I got to work closely with various sales teams and their customers as well as the brand managers in which I learned what is needed to deliver programs in the retail channels that work for all parties by building the brand, increasing sales as well as achieving the specific objectives of the retailer/customer. One program in particular was A Veteran’s Day promotion whose objective was to increase sales and usage of the Kodak Picture Maker while instilling a sense of patriotism and pride in both Wal-Mart shoppers and associates. This promotion ran for seven years in Wal-Mart stores and also received a PRO Award for Best of Show in the account-specific category.
I also got to lead the operations of a separate business unit within the agency that specialized in sweepstakes and games. At the time I focused on developing an expanded line of interactive promotional marketing tools. One new, innovative tool was The Apollo Game Card System™, a partnership with a New Zealand promotional firm which enabled highly customized game card promotions through proprietary software and printing process. This unique product delivered customized marketing solutions for some of the agency's major clients.
I believe strongly that all brands need to still follow the time-proven principals of marketing:
- Start with a solid strategic platform
- Utilize effective brand management and positioning
- Develop outstanding creative that speaks directly to the target audience
- Incorporate the right incentives in order to boost sales.
Staying focused and integrating these principals with all the new communication tools and technologies available today is the challenge.
